Objective To obtain a
position that will enable me to use my strong problem solving skills, extensive
background in crane and equipment operation, logistics, and ability to work
well in a team environment. Experience May 2014-April 2015 S.E.I. Oilfield Services Crane Operator/Coordinator- Crane Division > Performed daily inspections, maintenance, and met customer needs
through efficient, safe operation of hydraulic mobile cranes in an oil and
gas industry construction environment. Reported to Dispatcher and Area
Manager. > Documented daily, weekly, and quarterly crane and rigging inspections,
in addition to scheduling Third Party annual inspections, as required by
OSHA. > Organized inspection and rigging test records on my person, so that
they may be presented to Client’s Safety Manager or OSHA representative
immediately upon request. Also provided our company’s safety manager
with copies. > Supervised other operators, riggers, and cranes, assuring compliance
with inspection, maintenance, and other essential protocol. Received
weekly updated inventory reports from Operators for their respective unit,
documented any discrepancies and reported to immediate supervisor. > Procurement of essential supplies for crane operations through
researching comparable products, competitive pricing, and building solid
business relationships with reputable vendors. > Established and maintained strong business relationships with clients
by making customer service a priority. > Received direct calls from clients for crane requests. Focused on good
communication and attention to detail, I strived to assure that both the
customer and I had a clear understanding of instructions and job scope.
I would ask any additional questions essential to the operation (if
unclarified), then using past technical experience, I would advise customers
of options regarding availability and logistics. > Touched
base with other operators daily for status updates, then would prepare a
daily report of equipment, personnel, and work performed and email our client
every evening. September 2012-April 2014 Bassler Energy Services Trucking Operations Manager > Directly supervised all integral business processes pertaining to my
division, which was comprised of a mid-size fleet of trucks, cranes, and
equipment manufactured for use in the service sector of the oil and gas
industry, as well as approximately twenty employees. Reported to Chief
Operating Officer. > Served as our organization’s direct point of contact for area clients
and spent a great amount of time involved with sales. > Met daily with Dispatch Manager, Mechanic, and Office Manager to
assure that scheduling, maintenance, and invoicing (respectively) were
operating efficiently and as expected by our Chief Operating Officer. > Reported weekly to company COO with an updated sales log, safety
briefing, and any other relevant topics pertaining to flow of business
operations. > Met with
Principals of company on a monthly basis to discuss revenue totals and
implementation of any changes to policy and/or business practices, when
applicable. September 2011-August 2012 Bassler Energy Services Dispatch Manager > Directly managed the organization and flow of logistics for mid-size
Oil and Gas industry Service Company. Reported to area Operations
Manager. > Worked to ensure that we were adequately staffed, taking into account
available equipment, volume of work, trends, and anticipated random periods
of unusually high or low industry activity by staying informed of events with
competitors, commodities, and/or vendors. > Was directly involved in all stages of screening, interviewing,
negotiating, and ultimately hiring new employees when positions needed to be
filled. At that time, the company did not have a dedicated Human
Resources manager, so I had the opportunity to contribute and gain relevant
experience in this area. > Participated in weekly conference calls with our Chief Operating
Officer and my direct supervisor. I contributed any insight I had
gained on market trends, competition, and other related topics, then answer
any inquiries the COO would present. > Worked closely with our D.O.T. Compliance officer to ensure that we
were up to speed on required permits, documentation, inspection/registration
tags, CDL driver’s license status, etc. > Proposed
and implemented a change to the previous standard operating procedure for
obtaining Oversize/Overweight cargo trucking permits. By utilizing the
new method (TxPros), the company experienced a significant increase in
operational efficiency, response time, and the virtual elimination of
“down-time,” due to waiting on permits to be issued (a problem that had been
gouging the profit margin on their Oversize load hauls for some time). June 2007-September 2011 Bassler Energy Services Lead Crane Operator > Performed daily, weekly, and quarterly maintenance on my assigned
unit, keeping detailed records on the process and any defects that were
identified and corrected. Reported to Dispatcher. > Received dispatch assignments and completed jobs to customer’s
satisfaction through safe, efficient operation of mobile hydraulic cranes. > When participating in a job with several other company trucks and/or
cranes, I served as the direct liaison between our dispatch manager and the
other Drivers/Operators. > Once execution of a job began, I supervised other drivers/operators on
site and directed them through the various stages of loading, unloading, etc.
until job was complete. > Upon completion of job, I would report to Dispatch Manager and relay
any further orders to employees on site. > Was offered the opportunity to relocate to Fort Worth when the company
expanded into the Barnett Shale play and I was charged with the task of
establishing a crane division in this new market. > In 2009, the company officially purchased a crane for the Fort Worth
yard. At the request of our Chief Operating Officer, Blade Bassler, I
had conducted market research on the new territory in the months leading up
to my transfer and concluded that the Dallas/Fort Worth area was saturated
with competitors, compared to that our flagship yard in Deanville. If
we were to be competitive, we would have to reduce our hourly crane rates by
37% right out of the gate. With the state of U.S. economy at the time
and the uphill battle we faced to capture the desired marked share that would
firmly establish the new crane division, the crane I had proposed saved the
company $150,000 on the purchase, compared to going with the same model and
vendor as the unit in our flagship yard. > Over the
next two years, we had grown a larger customer base for the new division than
anticipated, ultimately resulting in the acquisition of a second crane for
Barnett Shale yard and further expansion. May 2005-June 2007 Schlumberger Equipment Operator-EO1 Frac Department > Performed daily, weekly, and quarterly maintenance on my assigned
unit, keeping detailed records on the process and any defects that were
identified and corrected. Reported to Service Supervisor, Tim Gerard. > Gained valuable experience as an Equipment Operator through intensive
training, exposure, and opportunities to operate the various pieces of
equipment that make up a frac crew. > Gained knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic, pneumatic systems,
tri-plex pumps, and was trained on how to properly maintain heavy equipment. > Was
trained to operate small mobile hydraulic cranes and received my first crane
operator certification during my tenure here. Education 1998-2001 Caldwell High School Graduated with Diploma > AP
English student. Possess excellent written and verbal communication
skills. 2001-2003 Blinn College General Studies 2005 C.C. Barrett Crane Instructors Received OSHA crane certification > This was
my first instruction and certification as a crane operator, received while I
was employed by Schlumberger in their Frac Division. 2007 Jimmy Dixon Equipment Company Recertified for OSHA standard mobile crane cert > I became
the primary crane operator for Bassler Energy and they sent me to a refresher
course to be recertified. 2009 CH Crane & Rigging Consultants, Inc. 277 Brazos Way Caldwell, TX 77836 Received OSHA 1926.1400 Crane Operator Certification > Received
highest certification under NCCCO, national certification. Completed 8
hours classroom, exam, and a practical (hands-on) test. 2009 CH Crane & Rigging Consultants, Inc. 277 Brazos Way Caldwell, TX 77836 Received OSHA Forklift Certification > Received
OSHA standard forklift certification. Completed classroom, exam, and a
